Lebron James and Maverick Carter’s show The Shop blends entertainment personalities in a deep, introspective way like you’ve never seen before. It gives space for celebrities to honestly tells stories. It’s an honest look at fame, what it takes to get fame and if fame is truly worth it.

The show recently switched over to youtube and is continuing to feature great conversations with artists, musicians, athletes and influencers across multiple genres. A standout episode from the latest season features Andre 3000, who goes deep in on the creative process. It’s a great watch.

The show gives glimpses of who these people actually are, rather than the character or celebrity we think they are or want them to be. You really learn about culture watching this show and gain greater insight into how people unlike you achieved what they wanted. Jay-Z told an amazing story on DMX on the show.

We need more shows like The Shop that simply give space for people to tell stories. Lebron and Maverick have mastered the art of letting their peers simply talk about what things are like. We need more of this in the mainstream. Do yourself a favor a dive into the episodes of The Shop.
