John John Florence Moves On Water The Way It Was Meant To Be …Pure
“We’re all equal before a wave.”
Hawaiian production company Parallel Sea is dropping beautiful surfing films featuring modern day surf legend John John Florence. Check out their latest below and discover why Florence is already considered one of the greatest of all time.
When you see it, you instantly know it. It’s surfing style. Some have it and some just don’t. Laird Hamilton describes it best in the quote above. Everyone looks and is exactly the same until they get on a wave. When John John Florence gets on a wave, it’s power. Pure power all it’s own. You can’t deny when you see it.
Florence grew up in Haleiwa, Hawaii on the north shore with backyard access to the planet’s sickest waves any time he wanted. Born on October 18, 1992, Florence started riding waves before he could even walk and quickly gained recognition for his undeniable natural talent to surf big waves with style.
“Surfing is a release from exploding tensions of 20th-century living, escaping from the hustling, bustling city world of steel and concrete, a return to nature’s reality.”
“You got to go in the mud sometimes to figure out who you are.”
